3 DAYS FROM FEZ DESERT MARRAKECH

Fez will be our starting point towards Merzouga. On the way we will pass through Ifrane. Ifrane is a snall mountainous city with a European style and a cold climate all year round; hence its name “Switzerland of Morocco.” Then, we will visit the city of Azrou located in the Middle Atlas Mountains and whose population is of Amazigh origin. Its economy is based entirely on wood and carpets that reflect the Amazigh culture. Azrou is famous for the cedar forests that surround it and the monkeys that live there. It is a very attractive place for both national and international tourists. Later, we will have lunch in the town of Zaida. We will continue through the Atlas Mountains, Midelt, the small town of Rich, Erfoud, and Merzouga. On arrival to Merzouga, you will ride camels heading towards the dunes where you will spend one night. It will be an unforgettable experience to spend the entire night in the Berber tent, enjoying a delicious dinner and traditional music.

On the second day of the trip, it is advisable to wake up early to be able to view the wonderful sunrise. Then, we will depart via Ouarzazate; crossing the T’ichka pass, 2,260m high. We will stop at Todra Gorges, Dades Valley, the Valley of Roses and Skoura. In the evening we will arrive in Ouarzazate, where you will spend one night.

Heading towards Marrakech, we will pass through the ancient fortified town of Ait Ben Haddou, declared a World Heritage Site. This place is very famous in the cinematographic world for the movies filmed there, such as Gladiator. Later, we will cross the majestic Atlas Mountains and the 2260 m Tizi -n- Tichka pass, where you can see wonderful views of the valleys, mountains and Berber villages. We will arrive in Marrakech at the evening.
