10 DAYS FROM CASABLANCA AND DESERT
BOOK NOWDay 1: Casablanca – Fez
As soon as you arrive at the airport of Casablanca, the economic capital of Morocco, you will find us waiting to take you on a wonderful tour of the Hassan II mosque, one of the largest in the Islamic world before continuing on the way to Fes where we will spend the first night of the trip.
Day 2: Fez – Visit of Fez
The itinerary for the second day of the trip includes an exclusive tour of the city of Fes. The cultural and spiritual capital of the Kingdom that has numerous monuments, among which we mention: Madresas (Koranic schools): Chahrij, Bouinania Attarin. souks, Fes El-Jedid, the Karaouine Mosque (first university in the world).
Day 3: Fez – Volubilis – Meknes
Close to Fez, we will visit the ruins of the Roman city of Volubilis. Then, we will visit the holy city of Moulay Idriss. Small mountainous city where the mausoleum of Moulay Idriss I is located. 27 km from the ruins is Meknes, a city that reached its peak thanks to Sultan Moulay Ismail. It is notable for the Baba Mansour Gate and Lhadim Square. Those both places are very well known in the area. Accommodation will take place at the hotel.
Day 4: Meknes – Ifran-Azrou – Merzouga
We will leave Meknes behind and travel towards Merzouga, passing through Ifrane. This is a small mountainous city with a European style and cold climate all year round; hence its name “Switzerland of Morocco.” Then, we will visit the city of Azrou located in the Middle Atlas Mountains. The area is known for the cedar forests that surround it and the monkeys that live there. Later, we will pass through the mountains, the Ziz Valley and its gorges, Errachidia, Erfoud, and Merzouga. The rest of your day will be dedicated to appreciating the peace of the desert. Accommodation will be in a riad, near the dunes.
Day 5: Merzouga – khamlia – Nomads – Fossils – Merzouga:
Today is a new day and a new adventure awaits. The first step towards it is to have a delicious breakfast to be well prepared to discover the dunes of Merzouga. Starting with the small Berber village of Khamlia, where you can enjoy a small Gnawa music show that is well known in the area. Then, we will visit the desert nomads in their haimas and share tea with them. This experience will bring you very close to the lifestyle of nomads and their customs in a unique and wonderful visit. In the afternoon, you will ride the camels towards the heart of the desert to appreciate the beautiful sunset. The final stop of the day will be the desert camp. A delicious dinner, drum music, unique landscapes, the starry sky, Berber tents, stories and laughter, and new memories will be created.
Day 6: Merzouga – Rissani – Tenjdad – Todra Gorges:
The saying goes, “Whoever gets up early, God helps him” and we say, whoever gets up early will be lucky enough to witness the fantastic sunrise over the dunes of Merzouga. Next, you will ride the camels back to the riad for breakfast and a shower. After that, we will visit Rissani, one of the imperial cities that contains the largest Souk in all of southern Morocco. After taking a walk in this Souk, we will continue towards the Todra Gorges. We will spend the night in the middle of the Gorges.
Day 7: The Todra Gorges – Dades-Skoura – Ouarzazate:
Every morning on our trip starts with breakfast, to have energy and have a happy day. Then, once tummies are full, we will take a walk between the Todra Gorges. Next we will follow the path to the Dades Valley, the Valley of Roses and the Skoura oasis. We will arrive in Ouarzazate in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be in a hotel.
Day 8: Ouarzazate – High Atlas – Marrakech
After breakfast and before continuing to Marrakech, we will visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, the backdrop of films such as: Sahara, Kingdom of Heaven, Cleopatra and Gladiator. Later, we will cross the Tizi N’tichka pass until we reach Marrakech.
Day 9: Marrakech – Marrakech:
Pearl of the South, Red City, Tourist Capital, “City of the 7 men”, all are names that refer to Marrakech. The great and beautiful city, which was the capital of all of Morocco in ancient times. This city contains numerous historical monuments worth visiting: the Majorelle Gardens, the Menara Basin, the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saâdiens Tombs, the Dar si Said Museum or the Bahia Palace and the famous Jamaa El Fnaa Square.
Day 10: Marrakech – Casablanca:
On the tenth and last day of the trip we head from Marrakech to Casablanca. Our services will be complete after transferring you to the airport.
