The tour begins in Tangier, famously called “the Bride of the North,” where you will visit the Cape Spartel and the legendary Hercules Cave. From there, travel across the scenic Rif Mountains to the charming blue city of Chefchaouen, known for its narrow alleys and striking blue-painted buildings.
Next, discover the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, before exploring the imperial cities of Meknes and Fes. In Fes, wander through its well-preserved medieval medina, colorful souks, and historic landmarks. You will also visit Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco,” and the cedar forests near Azrou, home to the Barbary macaques.
The journey continues to the Sahara Desert of Merzouga, where you can ride camels across golden dunes, watch a breathtaking sunset, and spend the night in a luxury desert camp under the star-filled sky. Witness the magical desert sunrise before departing for Todra and Dades gorges, with their dramatic cliffs and scenic valleys.The tour also includes visits to historical Kasbahs and the famous Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. Morocco Itinerary – 6 Days Tour
Day 1 Tangier – Chefchaouen (2 Hours Drive)
On the first day of your 6-day tour from Tangier, we will pick you up from your accommodation, airport, or port in Tangier. Known as the “Bride of the North,” the city lies where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean near Cape Spartel. Explore the city’s highlights, including the Hercules Caves and Cape Spartel. Free time for lunch. Later, drive inland to Chefchaouen via Tetouan and the Rif Mountains, with stops for panoramic views. Overnight stay in a hotel in Chefchaouen.
Day 2Chefchaouen – Roman Ruins of Volubilis – Meknes – Fes (4 Hours Drive)
After breakfast, wander the charming blue alleys of Chefchaouen. Then drive to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for its mosaics, columns, and arches. Continue 30 km to Meknes, the Ismaili capital and one of Morocco’s imperial cities. Visit Bab al-Mansour, Sahrij Souani basin, Royal Stables, granaries, and Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Then proceed to Fes. Overnight in a riad.
Day 3Guided Sightseeing in Fes (30min Drive / 2–3 Hours Walking Tour)
After breakfast, begin your guided exploration of Fes, one of Morocco’s iconic imperial cities. Start with a driving tour, visiting the Royal Palace Gate, the historic Mellah or Jewish Quarter, and the Borj Sud fortress for stunning panoramic views of the city. Continue to the Ceramic Village & School, where you can observe traditional Moroccan craftsmanship in action.
Next, embark on a walking tour through the medieval Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Discover the Al Attarine Madrasa, the University and Mosque of Al Quaraouiyine, which is considered the world’s oldest university, and the Chouara Tanneries, where leather is dyed using centuries-old techniques. After this immersive journey through history and culture, return to your riad for a chance to relax
Day 4Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Sahara (7 Hours Drive)
After breakfast, drive south via Imouzzer to Ifrane, the Switzerland of Morocco, known for cool climate and alpine-style houses. Continue to the Cedar Forest, home to Barbary macaques, with a short walk among ancient trees. Drive to Midelt for lunch, then cross the Tizi-n-Talghamt Pass along the Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views.
Arrive at Merzouga Sahara in the afternoon. Switch to camels for a ride across the desert dunes, stopping atop a high dune to watch the sunset. Continue to your luxury desert camp, featuring traditional nomad tents and modern comforts, and enjoy Berber drumming around a campfire under a star-filled sky. Overnight in Merzouga desert camp.
Day 5 Merzouga Sahara – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley (Approx. 5-Hour Drive)
Day 6Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Skoura Palm Groves – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – High Atlas – Marrakech (Approx. 5.5-Hour Drive)
