The 7 Days / 6 Nights Desert & Imperial Tour starts with an early pick up from the airport or your accommodation in Fes. We drive to Meknes, the Ismaili capital and one of Morocco’s imperial cities, visiting Bab Al-Mansour, Sahrij Souani basin, the Royal stables, the granary, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Free time for lunch. Next, a 30 km drive from Meknes takes us to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its mosaics, pillars, and archways.

After exploring the ruins, we drive north through Ouazzane to Chefchaouen, the Blue City in the Rif Mountains. The city is renowned for its blue-painted buildings and alleyways. Overnight stay in a hotel.

After breakfast, enjoy free time to wander in the blue city. Then drive to Rabat, Morocco’s capital city on the Atlantic coast. Explore the city highlights including the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of Oudaya. Overnight stay in a Riad.

We drive along the Atlantic coast to Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city and economic hub. Visit the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in Africa, then explore Casablanca Corniche, Mohammed V Square, and stop at Rick’s Café. Afterward, continue inland to Marrakech, the Red City, known for its bustling Jemaa El-Fna square and vibrant souks. Overnight stay in a Riad in Marrakech.

After breakfast, enjoy a guided walking tour of Marrakech’s historic sites. Visit the elegant Bahia Palace, the Ben Youssef Madrasa, and wander through the medina and souks, discovering traditional Moroccan craftsmanship. Admire the Koutoubia Mosque from the outside and explore the lively Jemaa El-Fna square. After lunch, visit the Majorelle Garden (pre-booking required) and drive through Gueliz, Marrakech’s modern district. Return to your Riad for overnight stay.

We drive through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-N-Tichka pass, stopping for panoramic views of the mountains and Berber villages. Visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous as a film location for Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy, and Game of Thrones. After exploring the kasbah, continue to Ouarzazate, then through the Roses Valley and the palm groves of Skoura, reaching Boumalne Dades for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, we explore the Dades Valley, stopping at scenic viewpoints. Continue to the Todra Gorges, a dramatic canyon carved by the Todra River, with towering red cliffs. Drive through Touroug and Tinjdad palm groves, stopping for lunch along the way. In the afternoon, arrive in Merzouga, at the edge of the Sahara Desert, where camels await for a sunset trek across the golden dunes. End the day at a luxury desert camp, enjoy Berber drumming and dancing, and overnight stay in the camp.

After breakfast, visit Rissani town with its lively souks, then continue to Erfoud to see workshops of fossilized marble. Drive along the Ziz River, stopping for panoramic views of the valley, and enjoy lunch in Midelt or on the way. Explore the Cedars Forest, where the Barbary macaques roam freely, then continue to Ifrane, Morocco’s Switzerland, famous for its alpine-style architecture and cooler climate.
