Morocco Itinerary – 13 Days Tour
Day 1 Tangier – Chefchaouen (Approx. 2-Hour Drive)
On the first day of your 13-day Absolute Morocco tour, we pick you up from your accommodation, airport, or port in Tangier, known as the Bride of the North, where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean near Cape Spartel. Start with a short city tour including the famous Hercules Cave and Cape Spartel viewpoint. After free time for lunch, continue your journey inland through Tetouan and the scenic Rif Mountains, with panoramic photo stops along the way. Arrive in the charming Chefchaouen (Blue City) for an overnight stay in a traditional riad.
Day 2Chefchaouen – Blue City Walking Tour (No Driving)
After breakfast, enjoy a guided walking tour of Chefchaouen, one of Morocco’s most picturesque destinations. Located in the Rif Mountains, the city is famous for its blue and white Medina, narrow alleys, and peaceful charm. Explore the old town, discover hidden corners, and admire the traditional Moroccan architecture that makes Chefchaouen unique.
In the afternoon, you can hike to the Spanish Mosque viewpoint, located on a hill overlooking the entire city. From here, enjoy a stunning panoramic view, especially during sunset. Return to your riad for overnight stay.
Day 3Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes (Approx. 4-Hour Drive)
After breakfast, depart Chefchaouen and travel to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its impressive mosaics, arches, and historical remains. Continue to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities, where you will visit important landmarks such as Bab al-Mansour, the Royal Stables, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum.
In the afternoon, continue your journey to Fes, the cultural and spiritual heart of Morocco. Upon arrival, check in at a traditional riad for overnight stay.
Day 4Guided Tour of Fes (Walking & Short Drive Tour)
After breakfast, begin your guided tour of Fes, one of the oldest and most important cities in Morocco. Start with a panoramic drive including stops at the Royal Palace Gate, the historic Jewish Quarter (Mellah), and a viewpoint overlooking the ancient Medina. Visit a traditional ceramics workshop to see local artisans at work.
Then explore the UNESCO-listed Fes Medina on foot with a local guide. Visit highlights such as the Al Attarine Madrasa, the University of Al Quaraouiyine, and the famous Chouara Tanneries, where leather is still processed using traditional methods. After the tour, return to your riad to relax.
Day 5Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga (Approx. 7-Hour Drive)
Today, travel south through Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco due to its clean streets and alpine-style architecture. Continue to the Cedar Forest, home to wild Barbary macaques, where you can enjoy a short walk in nature. After lunch in Midelt, continue through the scenic Ziz Valley, known for its palm groves and dramatic landscapes.
In the afternoon, arrive in the Merzouga Sahara Desert, where you will begin a camel trekking experience across the golden dunes. Stop to admire a magical Sahara sunset, then continue to your desert camp, where you will enjoy dinner, traditional music, and a night under the stars.
